TORONTO, Ontario - Trimark Sportswear Group of Richmond Hill, ON., announced
today that President and COO Will Andrew has been recognized as one of Canada's
emerging leaders. Mr. Andrew has recently been selected as one of Canada's Top 40
Under 40™ for 2009.
Since 2005, Mr. Andrew has launched Trimark Sportswear Group into a leadership position
in the Canadian Apparel industry. His vision helped to develop a new customer-centric
mission and the campaign 'A Brand New Generation', that consisted of new product
categories and new brands. Sales grew exponentially as customers responded.
"I am grateful for this honour, and I am fully aware that our success has been a team effort
and that this recognition is shared with our entire team and those that I have worked
with in previous businesses," explains Mr. Andrew. "Canada's Top 40 Under 40™ is truly
recognizing the dedication of our team in Richmond Hill, the incredible commitment
and hard work by our vendors in Asia and throughout the world, and of course the
loyalty of our customers and distributors, large and small, across Canada and the USA."
Under Will's leadership Trimark has enhanced its service levels, sales strategies and
marketing direction. Mr. Andrew has played a critical role in revitalizing and recruiting
top leadership talent across the organization.
In October 2006 Andrew founded Elevate Sport Inc. and led a winning bid for the
activewear, and later, headwear licenses for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.
Through Elevate's Olympic revenues Mr. Andrew led a charge to enhance the lives
of employees in their factories by establishing new social compliance standards and
educating the plant management.
In addition to Will's achievements in the Canadian apparel industry, Will is also actively
involved in the local community and has been associated with Camp Oochigeas, (a
privately funded, volunteer-based organization for kids with cancer) since 1989.
Mr. Andrew is also involved in the development of emerging entrepreneurs, and is on
the Toronto Board of EO (Entrepreneurs Organization) leading Accelerator (a program
to assist emerging entrepreneurs).
Will graduated from Queen's University with a B.SC and has run three marathons and a
Half Ironman, while balancing a busy home with his wife Heather and their two children.
